Listening (Part 3)
Here's the 3rd hour of Carol's "The Empowerment of Listening" six-hour audio album—and
many people have said that it's the most fascinating and personally valuable piece of the
listening puzzle they've learned so far. In this Session, Carol speaks about your "Early Childhood
Decision"—a conclusion about how you needed to be in your life (made when you were a young
child) to be safe and to succeed—that's been running you (all of us) ever since. Managing
this "decision" moment-by-moment, especially when you're in what Carol calls your "drama cycle",
is the real work that there is to do. It's a "be here now", Zen of Listening approach that has
people be authentic, present and coming from a center of genuine peace and power. "Listening,"
Carol says, "isn't about you. It's about listening to the other person. And it's out of that
Listening that you truly get YOU."
